1.) Select a dataset that you will use for your final project.* www.kaggle.com (Links to an external site.) is a great place to start, they have 50k+ datasets to choose from. 2.) Email me your chosen dataset by Sunday (18 Oct), so I can review it and consider it for acceptance. In addition to your dataset, you need to submit either a hypothesis for testing, or a proposed solution to a problem.Example: The following dataset https://www.kaggle.com/jihyeseo/seoulairreport (Links to an external site.) is a time series dataset measuring air pollution in the districts of Seoul, South Korea.Example Hypothesis: The levels of dust and fine dust are dependent on the levels of CO2 and Sulfur Dioxide present in the atmosphere.Example Solution: Forecast the level of air pollution for the next several years to help regulatory bodies determine additional environmental restrictions on manufacturing. ***Selecting your dataset can have a BIG effect on your overall grade for this class! Remember that your final project counts for 35% of your final grade, so it is important that you select an appropriate dataset. ******Since our class is focused on Time-Series forecasting, it is only appropriate that everyone select a time-series dataset. Also, remember that much of our discussions have dealt with seasonality, so a dataset that contains some element of seasonality is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
